- Answer these Reflection Questions on the Guestbook for Extra Credit:
1) What is Ionization Energy?
2) With regards to Atomic Size, what will take less Ionization Energy? Why?
3) Is energy ever released when creating an ion? If so, what kind of ion releases energy?
- Write down any Questions you may still have concerning the game on the Guestbook for

Please write up to three important fundamental "takeaways" you learned from the lesson of the day
(+10 extra credit/ point)
You may also write any questions you have about the lesson for the day (+ 5 extra credit/ question)
Make sure to write your "full name" and period so I can add the points to your grade. All fundamental "takeaways" and questions are due by midnight on the immediate Sunday following that week's lessons. (For example if a lesson was taught on Friday, you have two days left to leave a comment)

1) Energy needed to make a positive ion
ReplyDelete2)The bigger one because it is further away
3) Yes. The negative ion.
Serge Grigoryan Period 3
1) The amount of energy needed to remove an electron from a gaseous atom.
ReplyDelete2) The biggest size is easy to take away because the positive and negative attraction to each other is further away from each other which makes it easy.
3) The negative ion energy is being released when creating a ion.
Emily Salvador, Period 2
1. It is the energy required to remove an electron from a gaseous atom or ion.
ReplyDelete2. The one that is more far apart or further away, the bigger one.
3. Energy is released when creating an ion, it is the negative ion.
Edward Lee Period 3
1) ionization energy is the essentially amount of energy used to remove an electron from a gaseous atom (or ion).
ReplyDelete2) Usually varies though it's mostly the biggest so to put it if it were the periodic table, helium would have the largest while francium has the least.
3) The negative ion is used so yes, energy is released when creating an ion.
