Please write up to three important fundamental "takeaways" you learned from the lesson of the day
(+10 extra credit/ point)
You may also write any questions you have about the lesson for the day (+ 5 extra credit/ question)
Make sure to write your "full name" and period so I can add the points to your grade. All fundamental "takeaways" and questions are due by midnight on the immediate Sunday following that week's lessons. (For example if a lesson was taught on Friday, you have two days left to leave a comment)

I learned that metal elements lose electrons during ionic bionding
ReplyDeleteI learned that non metals gain electrons during ionic bonding
I learned that the Octet rule refers to the 8 valence electrons in the outer energy level
Serge Grigoryan Period 3
Sasha Corcuera P6
ReplyDeleteThis week I have learned that every element attempts to have the same amount of electrons as noble gasses. The numbers we have marked at the top of our periodic table, that differentiate the groups, lets us know how many valence elections an element carries. The metals give their "extra" electrons to their non-metal bond, allowing both elements to become more balanced.
One question I have is what is the charge of the elements in group 4A?
